If you really want sound deading you want to lift the floorboards and install Quietex chips. Alot of sound travels along the gaps in the joists and down the cavity's in walls , The thickest ply you can get away with putting down, the thickest foam underlay you can find them some laminate, Lots of soft furnishing a rug and crocs for everyone including guests.
