There are far fewer avenues for the kind of entryism which has brought the US to where it is in Scotland. We also simply don't have a religious constituency like the religious right. This didn't sneak up on anyone in the USA - the mainstream right was open about its desire to overturn RvW for decades.
And, not to belabour the point, the people who led the reaction in the US did not do it shouting in the street. Acting like this sadsack is a precursor to the end of abortion in Scotland is, politely, crackers. |
