Regarding your concern about ADHD referral times, that time is going to pass anyway, so get your name down. If you wait until the times get better, you could be 2+ years before you are on the list.
If you think you have ADHD, go with it. Say you have adhd and give yourself a break. The day my doctor said he thought I had it, my life changed that day.
For you and your husbands sake, go to the GP and have a good cry.
