| Comment | Subway is £1.75 Single or £3 All Day (with a smart card). Most Glasgow Uni students live in the West End (Woodlands, Kelvinbridge, Hillhead, Maryhill, Partick etc.) Expect to pay £350-500 depending on what you are looking for and your luck. Strathclyde and Caledonia can be easier to get to from the East End, (Denistoun, High Street etc.) This can be a little cheaper £250-400. The southside can be super cheap but you need to get the train to central, ~£2.40 return with a rail card, and then either walk or Subway. Buses are expensive £2.40 one way unless you get a multi trip pass and they take forever (imo). I would prioritise being close to your uni, makes life way easier when the weather is shite and it's getting dark at 3. Fuck Winter. |
