| Comment | I was in town on Saturday. Not sure which race was on. I couldn’t care less about cycling but I happened to be at George square when a load of them were going past and I momentarily got caught up in the hype (banging on the railings cheering etc)
Only thing I’d say about the crossings is that it seems to be typical event planning. ‘Stand here and do this’ and leave no option for common sense to the operators. 4 stewards at each crossing, I was a tad lost at a bit on Buchanan street, asked one where to go, they were zero help. Also nearly got the pram whacked by a fence on 2 occasions when both failed to have a quick look around before closing it for the bikes to go past. |
