| Comment | oh great. i get to rant about the ones on maryhill road near the big tesco.
so i use these crossing lights maybe 6-10 times a day and always noticed they would take forever to change and it would only stay green for pedestrians for about 10-15 seconds. i started timing them if i just missed the green man on how long it took. about 4 mins. the worst part is, just because it's a red light for cars there, doesn't mean you'll actually cross. i see so many cars just ignore that red light (maybe about 1 in 8 times i've tried to cross) or the people who stop on the pedestrian crossing but in a way that makes it difficult to go around.
also special shout out to the pedestrian crossing/cycle lane lights near the top of garscube road. if you're not in the perfect position where the sensors can see you at all times, it just skips the pedestrian/cyclist cycles. |
