My mother was in for a knee operation on Wednesday, (only waited about 5 years for that) and was talking to the staff about Covid.
She was told that it wasn’t how it was portrayed in the news, that it was the easiest time they ever had because most of the other services had been shut down, all hands were on deck including A&E staff down helping out and there were 4 people doing what would have been 1 persons job.

She said and I quote “don’t get me wrong, there were a lot of tears but it was one of the easiest times they’ve ever had working at the hospital”, maybe this wasn’t everyone’s experience but that was what she said.
