But I vividly remember being 16 and having fresh marks on my arms after my mother died when a parent of a girl (who knew my mother recently died and I had a bad home life) chose to grab my arm and tell me I was going to go to hell for it. Fuck this woman was in her fourties’.
People like this are trash, they are insensitive and even if your scars were not from self harm her commenting on them is completely gross and uncalled for. Please don’t let this affect how you feel about yourself and your past. You did what you needed to do to survive and get to where you are in life now. The scars are a reminder of that. Her opinion means nothing. |
