| Comment | Dude, some people just don’t know about self harm. I remember quite clearly the first and only time I’ve ever seen someone’s scars who sliced themselves in grief. At first I was confused. I wanted to ask, but I didn’t. Eventually she saw me stealing curious glances and told me. We had a good conversation about it and I learned a lot.
She’s the only person in 35 years of life that I’ve seen with scars. Likely not the only person with scars of that nature that I’ve met. But isn’t that how these things go…?
The point being, it’s wrong to assume so horridly that she was trying to shame OP. It was likely just someone who asked a very stupid and VERY personal question about scars that they’ve never seen on someone. |
