If OP told the woman what those scars really were instead of trying to diffuse it with a joke, the woman would’ve learnt a very important lesson of not being so invasive and OP could’ve gained a lot of confidence about not having to be afraid to show their scars.
Everyone has scars OP. I bet you wouldn’t feel ashamed of yours or alone if we all wore our scars like you do. In fact you’d see you’re no different than the rest of us. |
