I meant that everyone carries the “scars” of torment, youth, mistakes, pain, love, age, etc. Whatever they associate with the physical scars on their bodies, people around them have similar or equivalent emotional scars.
I certainly wasn’t trying to say the equivalent of “just smile and you’ll feel better without knowing it!”
