Imagine a kind of savoury scone, extra salty and buttery, that kind of crumbles when you bite into it. They're super good, especially fresh. If you have any friends visiting the US in the future, ask them to bring home Red Lobster Cheddar Bay biscuit mix (available in most supermarkets) because it's one of the best kinds of make-at-home I ever found. The mix I just tried out had the texture right and the flavour was pretty good, so it's a good first try, I think. If you have a fan oven doing the temperature conversion is a little spotty but mine still came out well.

The white gravy is generally pork-based and I haven't eaten it in like 15+ years, but I remember it being very salty. There might be recipes online, or potentially a mix for that too.
