| Comment | Yes, people still use websites as they are *public* (and owning the domain gives you branded email etc) whereas any social media is effectively *private* and could be shut down at the whims of that private operator.
Also now everyone is on every social media service, so accessing you page there can be tricky at times.
If you want some kind of social media presence (and to do a bit of self-promotion), how about short blog posts or videos going through common issues etc?
Also going along to tech meet-ups can be a way to (gently) make contacts. |
