Of course, don’t leave it all dirty, but flat cleaned by you is sufficient. If they say it’s not, dispute it with the deposit company - the landlord will have to provide photographic proof of the cleanliness near the date of you moving in. If they don’t - they do not win the dispute. You do not need to provide evidence in this instance. In an instance landlord does provide pictures, check the date of picture taken through metadata websites, as this sounds like the all too common occurrence of landlords doing whatever it takes to lie and STEAL your deposit.
Citizens advice/Shelter are best sources whenever you have these questions - personally I would not ask the subreddit as I can already see misleading answers. |
