Definitely recruitment agencies. I used them for a couple of years while I was establishing my “real job” and it certainly keeps a tea on the table and a roof over your head. Sometimes they lead to really good long term opportunities too. The entry requirements aren’t too taxing either and they often lead to things quickly.

Also try Goodmoves where all the charity jobs are too.
