| Comment | Just another comment to confirm this. Was a runner for 6 years, no-one gave a shit about my education. Despite being able to film visuals and record sound, I was never offered more than basic gopher work.
Worked with people who did one runner job before they were promoted to researcher. One person simply happened to be in the One Show office when a DP canceled, which was the first job in her burgeoning career. Also worked under the most rude and incompetent person I've ever had the displeasure of having to work with purely because she was friends with the exec producer.
