Well, powers are using various populist ideas to polarise people, so that we ignore the bigger picture.
So, there are lots of people who will be enraged about a toilet, and lots of people who will be enraged at someone even trying to have an open discussion about it.
I suspect many trans people will hate being used as a political football, and just want to live quietly.
