And too much fake grass, hard landscaping, impenetrable boundary fences etc.

We built a hedgehog house with the kids at the start of the summer holidays and cut a hole in the fence through to some woodland. After eight weeks of being asked if we've got a hedgehog yet, I find myself Googling how I could buy a hedgehog yesterday 😂

FWIW, I don't really like using chemicals in the garden or splattering the slugs with a stamp like my grandad taught me, so I've become quite adept at picking slugs up with a trowel and firing them a considerable distance over my fence!
