The speed you are travelling while passing the camera is irrelevant. It just takes a date and time stamp from when you pass it, and compares it with the previous camera.
That’s then used to calculate the speed.
You’re technically allowed a 10% plus 2 leeway for speed cameras in the UK so for a 40 zone as long as you average under 46mph you should be fine.
Are you just assuming you’ll get a fine here or have you actually receive anything through the post? Given what you’ve described I think it’s unlikely you will get a notice but stranger things have happened. |
