I am biking through the tunnel pretty much everyday. It’s generally safe. I never had any unsafe encounter with a dodgy character. You have separate southbound and northbound tunnels for bikes and entrances are separate. Unfortunately some idiots manage to go the wrong way so be on alert on a blind turn. But this actually happened extremely rarely during a few years of me using it. Surface is not very flat but dependable on a bike you will know what speed is safe for you on a descent. |
