Comment | flexi tickets are perhaps vulnerable to this sort of fraud (using one £10ish flexi ticket for 2 journeys - maybe 2 swipes aren't permitted hours apart, I don't know) but also assumed purchases of cheap tickets in order to open barriers would be monitored. In summer of 2017 when the express line was being electrified and you had to travel on the slow train via Airdrie, I fairly regularly heard Glasgow commuters claiming they'd boarded at Edinburgh Park or similar. Is the Garelochhead story being publicised? There was a guy in London who paid up £40k for a barrier - ticket fraud, from memory. |
