The answer is no I'm afraid. You'd need a much bigger unit (or multiple units) to make a dent (and generally it'll go straight back to whatever your usual level is within 24 hours of them being turned off).

Best to use it for enclosed areas that are particuarly damp, or when drying clothes.

That said, I run two 25L units 24/7 in my ground floor/basement level office which costs about £200/month. It helps, but not as much as £200/month should help.
