It’s best not to leave a bike locked outside for any length of time unless you can keep your eye on it. Diamond locks are difficult to cut through and will need an angle grinder. Fortunately there doesn’t seem to be many angle grinder thieves in Glasgow. Some may use bolt cutters which will go through a cable lock in seconds. Thieves always go for the easy targets first. Really cheap locks can be snapped by hand. I think we can all help here. If you see someone dodgy at a bike stand then call the cops or challenge them. I wouldn’t let someone with an angle grinder cut a lock in public without saying something. |
