It depends on floor space to be honest. Bathrooms emit humidity from baths and showers, so the readings will be altered. I wouldn't (personally) have a dehumidifier near a bathroom.

These are really useful...I have one in the living room, bedroom, and hallway (they were a pack of 3 when I got them)
