| Comment | Hi. I'm a kipa wearing Ashkenazi and my wife is Sephardic who wears a Star of David. Neither of us have had any actual antisemitic issues (apart from a few lads scream singing some song at us that ended with "thank God I was born a Catholic"). I've actually had quite a few random conversations with people about being Jewish as they never had met one before. There are weekly booths talking about the evils of Israel and free Palestine, but they are generally peaceful and I've never had an issue.
Glasgow is very much a "don't be a cunt" kind of place. As long as you're a nice person, 99% of your interactions will be nice. Some won't be of course, but it's likely not because you're Jewish, but because that person just sucks as a human. |
