Comment | While there's definite demand for housing I don't see the appeal of the city centre now that everything is getting demolished.
People work from home so no need to be in the city centre
People go shopping online so no need to be in the city centre
It only really leaves socialising in the city centre, so overpriced pints and a lot of the activities you can easily get public transport or there will be a similar thing closer to you.
Houses cost more and you get less in the city centre
Living in the city centre seems hellish to me, small compact flats with people on every side of you, can't open your window because of pollution or noise at night, a lack of greenspaces etc
I'm sure there are positives but I just can't see it.
When I was at uni or when I had to be in the office every day I probably would have liked it but not now. |
