The only reason I saw was "people are desperate" and "public transport isn't going to improve"
People are desperate so they will pay more for less and as a consequence everything will cost them more for the duration they live in the city centre.
I acknowledged entertainment and amenities but those are in decline and cost more than they do outside of the city centre, other than the very niche activities (and even some of them) can be found outside of the city centre |
