Twice in the last 3 weeks I’ve seen some someone brazenly shoplifting- literally walking out of Sainsbury’s with a shopping basket full of steaks. And a woman leaving B&M with a shopping bag full of stuff she’d just walked out with. Shop staff pretty much powerless to do anything. Police dgaf.

I worked in retail years ago but don’t remember shoplifting being so common and so brazen. Is it all cost of living related or is there something else going on? Is there a solution?
