| Comment | Statistically, trans people are far more likely to kill themselves while on NHS waiting lists than they are to decide they no longer "feel trans" (and statistically most people who detransition do so because of outside pressures, like lack of healthcare or overt transphobia).
GPs absolutely prescribe psychiatric medicines. Anti-depressants are ROUTINELY prescribed by GPs, often while the person is on a waiting list for therapy. They also routinely prescribe the exact same hormones that Trans people are forced to go to a specialist for. It's a massive waste of the NHS' time and money, purely because of this weird fallacy some people have that people are transitioning for fun or something. |
