What it does have to do with is people being paid just enough to survive and no more. Also invest met in technology, if that bus driver had the ability to press a button so that 2 police met the bus at the next stop (or more) so as not to disrupt passengers journeys then that would be another answer.
But in summery…
There’s no value for the bus company to do anything about it - only cost, monopoly and customers must use their service.
There’s no value for the bus driver to do anything about it - only cost, paid peanuts and personal safety risk.
There’s no value for the law abiding passengers to do anything about it - only cost, who’s getting stabbed by a 16 year old for a transitory inconvenience.
Austerity and modern monetary policy is to blame. Because who gives a fuck about raising your children like human beings when you can only afford two packets of Birdseye frozen waffles a week. |
