Personally I'm still a little unclear on just how much trolling is intentionally done for the "sport" of it and how much is down to poor emotional discipline.

Although even then the line can be very blurred.

I just remember the use of language having changed. Like, 15 years ago all the communities I was involved in would define a "troll" as someone who would quite masterfully disrupt a community. It was toxic, but you couldn't deny there was skill involved. The mouth breather than just screams angry offensive rhetoric was a "flamer".

Now the term flamer appears to have disappeared entirely and anyone remotely negative gets called a troll.

I bring this up in the context that one was noteworthy calculated mischief and the other was the result of an emotional breakdown. Now they're both regarded as the same thing.
