My advice would be stay away from the city centre and get a bar job in what looks like a shit hole. The tips are amazing, on a good shift you can sometimes double your wage.
I worked in a bar in Springburn, it was great craic and sure you got the odd idiot but the majority of the people were the salt of the earth.
