Yippon on George street is amazing - they make it fresh to order and is the only time I've had sushi anywhere close to the quality in Japan (disclaimer: I'm veggie so can't vouch for the fishy ones - but as I said, the quality is high for the others).

Surprised to see people singing the praises of Sushi Ya. I ordered ramen from them in a supposed korean/kimchi broth and the entire meal, broth included, tasted very specifically of cheap chinese takeaway fried noodles (presumably the oil type/style of cooking).
