Any currency can be manipulated. Currency with lower circulation are more prone to manipulation. See "rug pull scams" where celebrities/influencers hype a cryptocurrency then cash out right before the value plummets.
The entire backbone behind the cryptocurrency, blockchain is vulnerable to a 51% attack where over half the nodes are compromised and now he who controls these nodes holds the master record of all transactions. i.e. Everything.
A government couldnt do this (some might say). TOR, Silk Road the FBI and CIA beg to differ. |
