Edinburgh council are shite too at many things, but they're also the only council Scotland running the buses themselves, and they're by far and away the best public transit in the country.

The biggest problem with doing it in Glasgow would likely be trying to get the 8-12 different councils involved to agree on things. It's easy in Edinburgh cos the vast majority of service is in Edinburgh's area with them owning 90% of Lothian Buses, but that wouldn't be possible in Glasgow cos of how fragmented & sprawl-ey the city is with it being carved into so many different councils
