Perhaps it was a mistake to give examples of the jobs that may be affected, as it’s not my main point.

My main issue is that this is not meaningful change. If they said that no cars other than service vehicles were allowed in that space, that the subway would run 24/7 (or as close to as possible), and there would be proper public transport links and park and ride, then I would champion it.

I live and work in the city centre and I see it as a false deliverable.

It won’t drive significant public transport usage uplift, and won’t deliver significant emissions benefits. So there is no significant benefit.
