> Improve public transport first.

This, in spades. I should be able to buy a one day ticket for a reasonable amount (say £5) and that should cover **all** public transport on **any** service.

Is should be able to put cash on a travel card that lets me use any mode of transport as I need, with a maximum daily charge. (No, not a weekly/monthly pass as now; I mean a card which never expires, it's just the balance that diminishes through use).

Bus fares should be about half what they are now and tickets should allow you to transfer on to a different service (like you can in London).

And along with all that, active travel needs to be implemented. Get those cycle/walking routes sorted out, joined up, and properly signed.

Make active travels first class road users, not an after thought by redesigning junctions to give them priority, raise the road to meet the pavement (this forcing cars to slow), close more roads to normal road traffic, and on and on.

Once the alternatives are in place, *then* congestion charging can come. Glasgow is decades away from being in a fit state to apply a congestion charge (not that that will stop GCC) and they'll never get their with arseholes like FirstBus running things.
