You sound like you're on the right track though. Definitely got a folder called "PS5" on the USB stick, and an "UPDATE" folder inside that? Make sure the file is called PS5UPDATE.PUP, all caps for all folders and file. If yes, triple check you got the reinstallation file and not simply the update file at this link: [https://www.playstation.com/en-gb/support/hardware/ps5/system-software/](https://www.playstation.com/en-us/support/hardware/ps5/system-software/). Both the update and reinstallation file have the same possible name, which is beyond fucking stupid for Sony, but they've got their heids up their arses sometimes. Wish they were different. As a precaution, I would delete any update files you might have on your computer and USB stick, then download the reinstallation file and whack it on, then go through the process again. |
