Another vote for Barrhead Travel here. Was based in the 'head office' at Oswald Street. All office staff were in the basement, no windows, no air con, all open plan apart from the CEOs office and other directors who had their own ones.

The amount of modern apprentices was unreal. No-one training them or mentoring them and most of them got told to bolt at the end of their MA.

Before covid the directors had the view of 'brick and mortar' locations are the way forward. Despite everyone else in the company knowing online sales and social media was the way forward. The website was an utter farce and so slow, it was un-usable until the amercian company bought BHT and said it was shit. Then a mad panic to find something else so people could actually book online. When covid hit and they soon realised that people didn't want to go to a store anymore to get ripped off.

One of the benefits of working there is supposed to be famtrips (familiarisation trips) funded by suppliers, but these were always given to directors or their friends. The one thing that always annoyed me was they ran a social media competition to give away a trip to Malta for pride in 2019. The collected entries at Glasgow pride and then never announced a winner. Two weeks before the trip a staff member and her partner got given it. Youd think these trips would be a good way to collect blogs/vlogs/photos of places for customers to see. Nah, they treated them as a piss-up and never brought anything back.
