the path technically won't be open for a while because they're still building it. my understanding is they're doing it in 2 parts. first part is bottom part to about university avenue then moving on to the top end. but i do kinda wonder if GCC are actually going to enforce the no parking rule or is it just going to end up like howard street where there is a cycle lane but no cyclists can use it because there's always cars parked in it. i hope it doesn't because that's one of the busiest roads in the west end of glasgow for cyclists and it doesn't even have a cycle lane yet.

it is also worth mentioning that cycle lanes are built to different standards (aka slower speeds and much lower weight) i wonder how much damage the cars being parked there are doing early on and if this is going to effect the condition down the line. that's kinda what happened with bits of the bisland drive cycle lane. now it's actively more dangerous than cycling on the road.
