I agree that’s a massive amount.
But also - education is 680m a year & social services is 489m a year. 511m & 452m 10 years ago.
The figures above give some perspective. As previously stated austerity is amazing thing. Costs increase despite the cuts and the increase in demand.
Education I noted as the pay increases are only going to continue to put a strain on those budgets. Increases in housing estates whilst bringing more council tax - put more strain on services (see the Dargavel estate in Renfrewshire). |
