I think everyone has to pay; however it’s the avoidance of tax from the top that is more frustrating than anything.

Shell paid tax in the UK in 2022 for the first time since 2017. Their tax obligations have been offset all whilst making massive profits.. that doesn’t ring right.

In 2021 Apple Stores paid 800k in tax. They have other subsidiaries.

Amazon, ebay, adobe, Google, Cisco, Facebook, Microsoft & Apple avoided an estimated 1.5 billion in tax in 2019.

KFC & Nandos were named as using offshore companies to avoid tax this year.

McDonalds, Cafe Nero, TopShop (RIP), Thomas Cook, Waterstones have all avoided paying any tax as recently as 2017.

When considering the value of that. Compared to the average working individuals tax contributions its disgusting. Estimate of tax avoidance and evasion in Uk is approx 7 billion.
