Second is that you need to both find somewhere else to live. If you have a mortgage in both your names, the option is to sell or rent it out. I’m guessing there’s no second bedroom, so that rules out one person staying and getting a roommate. My advice would be to think about selling, because you do not want such a financial commitment with an ex partner if it can be helped. If you do agree to keep the property, you should keep records of everything and considering notarising whatever the agreement is to protect your self from legal issues down the line. |
