Flat I grew up in had them on in the mornings, Monday to Saturday and switched off on Sunday.
Other flats I've lived in had them on every day, some until 3 in the afternoon.
None of them worked in Daylight savings time either, so for half the year - as the postie always got to our flat around midday - they'd have to be buzzed in by ourselves. |
