I get the argument that it forces people to pay more attention to what they are putting in GW to ensure they are maximising their recycling output. I was really more ranting at the poor comms from GCC, on one side they are saying a large % are not full and that's why they are reducing the collection. Then on another side they are saying that 60-70% of GW was actually recyclable (without the data to know if that's actually true or if someone was just going "aye, that's plastic" and it's a tick in the recyclable box without checking the type of plastic). It's just poor messaging, I'd actually have been happier if they said "we're cutting the collections because we are having a budget nightmare, sorry guys". Mixed messaging gives the impression of being dishonest.
