This scenario is asking the GP to interpret the patients medical record for the university, and give their opinion as to whether this means OP is fit for the intended activity (studying abroad). The GP is therefore taking a risk by vouching for the patients health. If there was any dispute later (some health issue comes to light that was unknown), the GP could be asked about the contents of the letter. |
