There's the big twisted hornbeam just up from the stewart fountain in KG park. The bark's worn smooth from thousands of kids (and adults) climbing on it over the years. Smoked joints in that tree when I was a student and climbed in it with my kids more recently. I really like that tree. Also the big fuck-off beech trees above the river in Dawsholm park are worth a visit. |
