Ross Hall / Nuffield waiting times are getting longer. I had about a 7-8 week wait for an MRI scan before getting a cancellation.

There’s a BUPA clinic in the centre of town as well on St Vincent Street. I think they have GP services there as well as some clinical services. For mental health services you’ll get a list of recognise providers in your area. Again you can find there’s a waiting list or some have closed their books so you may have to try more than one provider before you get an appointment.

Make a list of everything you need your insurance to cover (assuming you’re going down the insurance route as opposed to PAYG) and then check policies from all the main companies. Your premiums are going to be higher as it’s for existing health conditions. Also for mental health services, any policies I’ve had come with around 10 appointments a year. So if you’re going to need more than that make sure you’re covered.
