| Comment | At least in the streets you can see them and plan a way to avoid them, I'm in East Kilbride and the shopping centre here is crawling with them to the point I play a game of "dodge the chuggers". Get off the bus and go in through the doors there? Nope, there's two of em trying to flog credit cards, gotta go round the side byt the post office. Get near the doors and see another stand trying to get you to switch energy supplier or enter into a direct debit charity lottery, round to the entrance beside New Look it is, thankfully a no go zone for them as the cafe in the middle of that mall leave them no space. A bit of a reprieve, think you'll be safe from them down by Debenhams but no, you've got the Sky kiosk outside Waterstones (usually they don't bother you) then there's always one outside HMV, usually flogging life insurance. To avoid those two if I want to get to the upper level shops I take the lift at the corner of primark, a safe zone up there as the only space they could use would be blocking the escalators. Down the escilator to Debenhams entrance heading for Disney Store or Yankee Candle & there's a new pitch point by USC/Zara, another gas/elecricity supplier one! All I want is to shop in peace and not be harassed every few steps by the above! Wouldn't be surprised if there comes a day I step out of the ladies toilets and find a chugger pitched up by the door. |
