| Comment | I always felt safer cycling on GWR than along Kelvin Walkway or within the park itself, especially if it is dark.
Along the Kelvin you've got some paths that are quite narrow, people who don't keep their dogs under control and the risk of random folk being pricks in close quarters. The park itself is a little better but you do meet some odd folk there in the dark.
The road is relatively flat, the lanes are a reasonable width and it is well lit. The only junction where you have to take more care than normal is eastbound at Park Road, where drivers sometimes change to the left lane without taking proper care. |
